The Law Office of C. Our Legal Team


C. Zan Pritchard started her career as a paralegal and accountant during the late 1980's.  While continuing to work, Ms. Pritchard obtained her undergraduate degree in accounting, magna cum laude,  from the University of Houston in 1991, and graduated from the South Texas College of Law in 2000, with awards in 7 different legal practice areas. She sat for the CPA exam and received her license as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas in March, 1993.  She is admitted to practice in the county and state courts of the State of Texas and numerous federal courts, including the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit and 7th Circuit; United States District Courts for the Southern, Western and Eastern Districts of Texas and the District of Colorado; and United States Tax Court.  Ms. Pritchard provides legal representation to businesses and individuals in areas of commercial litigation, wills and probate, tax and estate planning, guardianship, estate litigation, appeals and bankruptcy.


Ms. Pritchard actively practices in Katy, Texas, representing clients in Harris, Fort Bend, Washington and Waller counties, with the invaluable support of her husband and legal assistant, Michael A. Pritchard. 


Notable Achievements


  • Ms. Pritchard represented the plaintiff and was co-trial counsel in a theft of trade secrets case, resulting in a $393 million dollar verdict for the plaintiff in 2011.
  • Ms. Pritchard was co-counsel in the trial and subsequent successful appeal to the Supreme Court of Texas, resulting in a substantial recovery of funds misappropriated from a brain-injured ward in a guardianship estate.
  • Ms. Pritchard successfully defended a hand-written will written on hotel stationery, resulting in a recovery of several hundred thousand dollars for her clients.
